Our mission
As coaches we play a vital role in supporting our clients to evolve and succeed, making our communities and workplaces more self-aware and resilient, acting as a catalyst to societal change and behaviour change and in all of this as we nurture new thinking and perspectives, we need to mirror the same! Coach Continuum is about doing all of the above for yourself and it is about making flourishing your norm!
When you flourish...
You are confident of your competence and comfortable in your own practice, priorities and purpose. You are unapologetically ‘you’, bringing your whole self to your coaching.
Your identity as a coach evolves and grows from a place of strong inner connection.
You are courageous and enterprising in crafting your brand and your message to reach the people who need your skills and presence the most.
You are rooted to grow as a person and as a business!

Flourishing is...
being able to bring your whole self, authentic self to your coaching
being able to operate from a place of alignment of core values and purpose
being able to carve your identity as a coach and let that evolve
being able to do your inner work to keep honing your craft and bring the best version of you to your clients
being committed to prioritizing your own self-care and development
being courageous and enterprising on how you craft your brand and your message to reach the people you want to work with and support
being unapologetically ‘you’ and finding your inner spark
If this resonates or is the place you would want to be in, join our community of coaches who feel the same! We are committed to learning and growing together, feeling supported and inspired every step of the way…nurturing the ‘who’, the ‘what’ and the ‘how’ of coaching.

Jenny Bird, MCC
I’ve been a coach for the whole of this century and through many years of coaching, supervising, mentoring and training coaches, I notice the same questions, wonderings and ponderings coming from each new generation of coaches….. and with each new level of growth and maturity in coaching. It seems to me that we spiral around some core ethical and practical queries and find provisional answers for ourselves, later coming back for a new perspective.
We ask ourselves: How can I keep developing my skills? How to build my client base? Am I doing it right? Are we stuck? How can I stay non-judgemental? Whoops, I think I gave advice!! How long is a session? A series? An assignment? How to create, hold and develop a contract? What is mastery? How to develop a truly reflective practice? Different ways to build a fee structure? How to keep fresh? How to stay curious? What are the best questions to ask? Is that ethical? What’s the systemic view?
I’ve explored all these for myself and with other coaches and now I want to offer my own (current) answers and my own musings to coaches through more media. I want to support more coaches, more widely to reach their own answers, their own ethical certainties and their own natural way. I want to help hone the unique presence of each coach, who, through professional, ethical and creative practice serves their clients in their own way.
I’ve been a coach since 2000, an ICF Master Coach (MCC) since 2006 and a coach supervisor since 2009. I’ve also been an initial coach trainer, a moderator of coach training programmes and an external assessor for several coach training schools. I’ve been an ICF coach mentor and a credentialing assessor. I’ve run master classes, workshops and CPD and spoken at coaching conferences internationally, written numerous articles in the coaching and management journals including Coaching at Work and Coaching Today and co-authored with Sarah Gornall “The Art of Coaching: A Handbook of Tips and Tools” (2015) and “How to Work with People… and Enjoy It!” (2019) both published by Routledge.
It's all been an honour, humbling and huge fun!

Ruchi Shah-Mehta, PCC
Having coached full time for over a decade and in my leadership roles prior to that, I’ve been through the ups and downs of transitions, of setting up a business, of trying to keep that fine balance between self-growth and business growth. At every stage and turning point, I’ve wished there was a place where I could go for some support, reassurance, connection, a place where I could share my highs and lows, where I could just be, where no matter how I step in, I can be sure I will step out feeling the inspiration and shift in my energy! For me this has been the biggest driver in building Coach Continuum with Jenny.
As coaches we do not have to settle for anything less than what we deserve, we do not have to go through feast and famine cycles in our business, we do not have to work with someone else’s reference point on success. We can define our own success and bring in the person we are to what we love doing and make flourishing the norm not the ‘rare chance’ or ‘exception’ or ‘hope’.
Over the years I have drawn inspiration from, and learnt from, others’ journeys and this has enriched my own journey as a coach and as a human being. Our work is never done, there is always more to do and room to evolve but there is something beautiful about being able to enjoy this journey of growth rather than feeling we are constantly trying to swim against the tide. This is where the sense of community and connection come in. For me Coach Continuum is a safe space where, as a coach you can be you, unapologetically you!
I have extensive experience of supporting organisations that want to build a coaching culture. I’ve partnered with internal HR/L&D and OD teams to create innovative and relevant interventions that enhance transformation programmes as well as support internal coaches. I’ve spent over a decade as a coach educator and mentor, delivering ICF accredited coach training programmes globally. In my role as a coach educator and supervisor I’ve had the honour and privilege of supporting hundreds of coaches to sharpen their professional skills, embed presence and emotional intelligence into their practice and advanced themselves as high-performance coaches. Having worked in the communications industry for 14 years prior to moving to coaching, I am a passionate believer in the power of putting your message out there without losing the essence of who you are. I have helped coaches craft their brands and connect with their story and purpose to do just that. Coaches have described their experience of working with me as “insightful, dynamic, transformational and supportive”.
